Maluma opened the North American leg with a Sept. 6 performance at San Diego’s Pechanga Arena, where he grossed $738,000 and sold 7,098 tickets. But the tour kicked into high gear at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. on Sept. 7-8, setting a personal best as the highest-grossing and best-selling engagement of his career. At the Los Angeles-area arena, Maluma grossed $2.9 million and sold 25,364 tickets, surpassing the $2.3 million gross and 25,079 ticket count from his previous stint at The Forum .
As on Maluma’s 2018 F.A.M.E. Tour, Inglewood’s The Forum is the only venue in the U.S. that demands two shows. Elsewhere, he’ll play six arena shows in Texas, spreading throughout Laredo, El Paso, Edinburg, Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas. His two 2019 engagements have represented promising increases from last year’s run. The San Diego show is up 7% from his set at the same arena in 2018, while the two-night gross at The Forum bumped by 26%.
