Police have issued a statement
A man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after an incident over the Derbyshire border in Shirebrook. A major police cordon was put up in Park Road - and an air ambulance was also called to the scene.
The man, who was taken to the King's Mill Hospital, had fallen in the street, reports Derbyshire Live. Police were called to the incident at about 5pm on Friday . Shirebrook police confirmed that the road had to be closed in preparation for the air ambulance. However, it is not clear whether the man was taken to hospital by road or air ambulance.A Derbyshire police spokesman said: "The air ambulance was called due to a man falling and suffering a head injury. We're not sure whether he went by road or air ambulance but he is at King’s Mill Hospital. We don’t have any further information to share at this stage.
