Madonna is reportedly being hit with a class action lawsuit for pushing the start time of her upcoming Miami show back several hours.
The show, originally set for Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 8:30 p.m., has been shifted back to 10:30 p.m., the lawsuit obtained by NBC News and Buzzfeed states.
Nate Hollander filed the suit in Miami-Dade court last week stating he bought three tickets for the Madame X Tour show, which totaled $1,024.95. Hollander states in the suit he tried without success to obtain a refund from Live Nation when the start time changed. "Ticketholders had to work and go to school the next day, which prevented them from attending a concert that would end at around 1:00 a.m.," the suit claims. "Due to the change in the start times ...
Hollander sued for breach of contract stating Madonna has a history of tardiness and the concert team should have known the show would not go on at the scheduled start time. According to Las Vegas' Fox5, KVVU, Madonna's 10:30 p.m. show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Thursday did not begin until 12:30 a.m., leading the audience to boo upon her arrival.
Seemingly in response to the backlash, the 61-year-old superstar took to Twitter over the weekend to share her reply to the crowd's frustration, telling them,"Here's something that you all need to understand. And that is, that a queen is never late."F. A.C.T.S. 👑 .................... #madamextheatre #thecolosseum pic.twitter.
