Three ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, the Hazardous Area Response Team and an air ambulance attended the incident
Four patients have been taken to hospital after a car collided and went over the central reservation barrier between J20 and J21 on the M6 earlier today .
The vehicle is understood to have collided and gone over the central reservation barrier causing hours of delays for those travelling both Northbound and Southbound on the M6 this afternoon. All traffic was temporarily held as congestion on the M6 built. All diversion routes through Warrington were also heavily congested as traffic from both carriageways on the M6 made attempts to divert.
