The team behind M3GAN is gearing up for their next horror outing called Night Swim. The film from Blumhouse and James Wan will star Wyatt Russell and Kerry Condon.
The producers behind M3GAN, the killer doll flick that is currently raking in big bucks at the box office, have re-teamed on a new horror film. M3GAN is a co-production of Jason Blum's Blumhouse, which is best known for horror flicks including Get Out, The Purge franchise, and the Paranormal Activity franchise, and James Wan's Atomic Monster, a newer company that is behind The Conjuring Universe, Lights Out, and Malignant.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Per Deadline, following the box office success of M3GAN, Atomic Monster and Blumhouse have announced their next collaboration. The film, titled Night Swim, is an expansion of the short film of the same name following a supernatural menace located in a suburban swimming pool. Short film director Bryce McGuire is returning for the feature, which is eyeing a release date of January 19, 2024.
Condon, an Irish actor, has also held a role in the MCU as the voice of F.R.I.D.A.Y., the AI assistant to Iron Man who replaces Jarvis after he becomes the corporeal hero Vision beginning in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. She has also appeared as Octavia of the Julii in the HBO series Rome, Stacey Ehrmantraut in Better Call Saul, and Pamela in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
This Announcement Is Good News for M3GAN 2 The fact that Night Swim has been announced so soon after the opening weekend of M3GAN spells out good news for the future of the partnership between Atomic Monster and Blumhouse. The companies are still in talks to merge, a possibility that seems more and more likely.
