The video features Idris Elba’s John Luther as he escapes prison to hunt down Andy Serkis’ notorious serial killer, who’s been terrorizing London. The film will arrive in select theaters on February 24, which will be followed by its streaming debut on March 10.“In the epic continuation of the award-winning television saga reimagined for film — a gruesome serial killer is terrorizing London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther sits behind bars,” reads the synopsis.
It is produced by Cross, Elba, Peter Chernin, David Ready, and Jenno Topping. Executive producers are Kris Thykier, Priscilla Paris, Brendan Ferguson, Miki Emmrich, and Dan Finlay.Maggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now.
