Lucy-Jo Hudson was left telling her co-stars to 'stop it' as they shared gushing tributes as her Hollyoaks exit aired. having joined as the character back in 2018 for a couple of on-off appearances before returning properly in 2021.
But during Thursday night's E4 episode , Hollyoaks fans saw Lucy-Jo's time in the soap come to an end as Donna-Marie's storyline reached a sad conclusion. She was kicked out by Leela Lomax after being unable to get on top of her drug habit, while grieving for her daughter.Before she left the village, she promised her son Romeo that the next time he sees her, she will be the mum he deserves, hinting that the door is always open for a possible return for Donna-Marie to Chester.
And Owen was among the first to take to his own Instagram Story to share a message to Lucy-Jo. Sharing a clip of their last scenes together, the actor wrote: "I'm not crying, you're crying! Words can't describe how much of an amazing actress @lucyjo_hudson is." And it was clearly making the soap star emotional as she shared the posts and said: "Ahh missing you already. Thank you my lovely boy," before adding: "Ahh Owen, you're going to make me cry. Stop it! Miss and love you too son."
