'Lovely' new pub coming to Liverpool city centre

It is the latest venture by the team behind The Red Lion and Papillion

Rob Gutmann who pioneered the city’s modern bar scene is opening a new pub called The Queen of Hope Street located on Hope Street. The news was announced on social media by one of Rob's other pubs The Red Lion on Slater Street.

While an exact opening date has not been confirmed the Instagram post said the pub would be opening up next month. It has been described as a "lovely big new pub".The post said: "We have a new big sister to announce. We’re opening a lovely big new pub on Hope Street next month. It’ll be well pubby. Please give @thequeenofhopestreet a follow for all the build-up."

Rob already owns Metrocola on Leece Street, Papillion on Hope Street, Red Lion on Slater Street, The Vines on Lime Street, and Love and & Rockets on Lark Lane. Rob who is originally from London changed the city’s modern bar scene and was the first to recognise the potential of the Albert Dock as a drinking destination when he opened Blue Bar and Grill in 1998. He is also behind some of the city's most popular drinking spots such as Korova and Alma de Cuba.

The Queen of Hope Street already has 557 likes on Instagram and the bio describes the pub as "Georgian quarter pubby pub pub" that will have eight cask ales on offer. The pub will also serve sandwiches and pastries.Win £200 Aldi shopping voucher to help with your summertime spending
