Man United youngster Charlie McNeill scored on his debut for Stevenage on Saturday afternoon.
The Manchester United starlet headed out for his second loan spell away from the club on transfer deadline day, signing for Steve Evans' side for the season. The move marks a step up for McNeill who spent the latter half of last season on loan at Newport County.
He has taken it like a duck to water after scoring on his debut on Saturday away at Leyton Orient. McNeill opened the scoring after 21 minutes when he got ahead of a defender in the box to get glance a cross into the bottom corner. His new side would go on to win 3-0 and he was buzzing in the aftermath."I loved it, 60 minutes, 3-0 win, goal, it's everything I could have asked for," he said on Stevenage's YouTube channel. "Loved every minute of it.
"Me and Reidy [Jamie Reid] up front, Reidy was excellent today holding the ball up. I was more the one getting around him, getting on the ball, getting the flick-ons, getting in behind and I enjoyed my part in how we played. The players, everyone was excellent today. Fought hard, battled hard, we scored some great goals as well.
