Jacques O'Neill's pal reveals the reason why he and Gemma Owen split LoveIsland
Love Island certainly knows how to bring the drama. This year singleton Gemma Owen saw her ex Jacques O'Neill enter the villa as a bombshell that certainly caused a stir amongst the contestants - and herself.
While Gemma and Jacques have moved on from their romance of a few years ago, the rugby player’s new role may have caused them to split. A pal of Jacques’ told The Sun: “Jacques was really focussed on his rugby career. Even though he was in a relationship with Gemma, he didn't want to let that stop him from taking the chance to play for Leeds.
“Jacques wouldn’t dare get back with Gemma because all the rugby boys would give him too much stick.”
