This not-so-little piggy is just trying to get home.
And she's not that little either.
Pleasanton police are asking for the public’s help to find the owner of a 200 pound pig, dubbed “Hamrietta” by officials, who was found near Dublin Canyon Road on Tuesday morning. Hamrietta has been transported to the East Bay County Animal Shelter in Dublin. Officials noted that she has"a sweet personality with a sweet tooth to match" after they gave her some mints to ensure she felt comfortable.No other information was available.
Authorities noted that this is a different hog than was found roaming the city’s streets in January 2022, picked up by a good Samaritan on Vineyard Avenue. In addition, the most recent pig sighting occurs just two months after a wayward cow was captured in downtown Pleasanton, but not before it collided with a Tesla and broke its windshield. The driver was unharmed and the cow was collected by local ranchers and steered back home.
