La mayoría de quienes han pasado la COVID-19, independientemente de la gravedad, tienen anticuerpos protectores hasta un año después de la infección, según un estudio del IrsiCaixa en colaboración con el Centro de Investigación en Sanidad Animal (CReSA) y el Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC).

Así, los investigadores han confirmado que, en la mayoría de los casos, los niveles de anticuerpos se mantienen durante más de un año ofreciendo protección contra la COVID-19.

“En el caso de las personas que han pasado una COVID-19 de forma asintomática o leve, los niveles de anticuerpos protectores, aunque también se sostienen en el tiempo, se mantienen más bajos”, añade.El personal científico ha determinado que, en el caso de los pacientes hospitalizados, la calidad de los anticuerpos es menor.
