A man faces charges in relation to a report of animal cruelty after a dog was found injured and partially buried in Londonderry
The dog, who was called Luna, was put down by a vet after being found in a park
A 29-year-old man has been has been charged in relation to a report of animal cruelty after a dog was found injured in Londonderry. Luna the American bulldog was put down by a vet after she was discovered partially buried in Ballyarnett Country Park by a member of the public.The man was arrested after a house search in the Carnhill area.The man has been charged with offences including causing unnecessary suffering to animals and four counts of failing to take reasonable steps to ensure the needs of an animal.Inquiries are continuing and police thanked the local community for their assistance in the investigation.
