London City Airport won't be running extra weekend flights any time soon.
Local Democracy Reporting ServiceNewham Council's strategic development committee unanimously voted against the proposals in a meeting on Monday.
Under the policy, planes are banned from flying between 1pm on Saturdays and 12.30pm on Sundays so residents can have a break from the noise. Lewisham, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Southwark, Greenwich, Havering, Hackney and Tower Hamlets councils all submitted objections to Newham Council.
