in Hayward, was recently implicated in a Bay Area-based drug trafficking scheme, according to recently revealed court records. Bellot and his bar, formerly known as Russell City Grill, were on the TV show “Bar Rescue” on Spike TV in 2016., Bellot had connections with airport workers who were allegedly using their security passes to carry bags around security checkpoints and onto planes undetected.
Bellot and an accomplice, Kendrick “Kew” Askew, allegedly helped a Drug Enforcement Administration informant posing as an Atlanta-based drug dealer to check a bag of fake cocaine in November 2018. The informant paid $8,500 and the bag allegedly made it onto the plane without being screened. Bellot also reportedly said to the informant, “I had a connect. I’d run 10 bricks to Philly, 10 bricks to Ohio, and 10 bricks of china white to Miami, I used but my boy got popped. But I did find someone else recently,” the Mercury News reported. “Popped” refers to getting arrested.
