“Their reason was valid, but why would I not come to the people who need to hear this message the most?,” responded Lizzo as the crowd once again began to cheer. “Why would I not create a safe space in Tennessee where we can celebrate drag entertainers and celebrate our differences?” She has posted the video of her addressing the Tennessee drag ban on her social media accounts with the caption, “Knoxville you have my heart.
