Sheridan died not long after her co-star Estelle Harris, who played George's mother.
Earlier in her career, the actor starred opposite Meryl Streep and Christopher Lloyd in the Broadway musical “Sheridan’s long line of TV credits stretched from “Kojak” in 1977 to “The A-Team” and “Santa Barbara” in the ‘80s, “Empty Nest” and “Life with Louie” in the ‘90s and “American Dad!” in 2007.
She also made a string of appearances in films like “Jekyll and Hyde... Together Again“ , “Who’s That Girl” , “Wedding Bell Blues” and “Play the Game” . In the early 1950s, when Sheridan was a dancer, she dated James Dean. She wrote about their relationship as young New York performers in love in her 2000 book “Sheridan later worked as a dancer and singer in St. Thomas and Puerto Rico and married jazz musician William Dale Wales, who died in 2003.
