Former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchison has been picking out the players and managers who have impressed, surprised and disappointed him so far in the Premier League season
Don Hutchison has named Liverpool summer signing Dominik Szoboszlai as his player of the season so far in the Premier League.
Szoboszlai has been instrumental in the Reds' promising start to the campaign. He has scored two stunning goals in 11 appearances to help Jurgen Klopp's side up to fourth in the early Premier League standings, progress to the last 16 of the Carabao Cup, and make it maximum points from their opening Europa League group games.
Hutchison, speaking to ESPN, said: “Dominik Szoboszlai, in my opinion, is just a Rolls-Royce of a player. I’d seen him quite a few times when he was playing for Hungary and playing in the Bundesliga. Hutchison named Brighton & Hove Albion's Roberto De Zerbi as his manager of the season so far, Tottenham Hotspur has his biggest surprise and their playmaker James Maddison as the best transfer .
