Liverpool ONE'S festive celebrations kick off with a musical extravaganza
Kicking off on Friday, November 17, the shopping complex will host hundreds of talented kids in a singing and dancing festive extravaganza - Liverpool ONE Christmas Live!
The event will showcase local schoolchildren and community groups as they perform across multiple stages. Alongside this, professional aerial performances and magical pop-up pantos will complete the line-up.The singing and dancing elves from The Hammond School will return for the evening, ensuring everyone is well and truly in the party spirit. Guests will also have the chance to grab selfies in front of a series of festive light installations.
Food and drink venue Bar Hütte will set up shop once again in Chavasse Park underneath the giant Christmas tree in all its glory. The team will be hosting wreath-making sessions, movie Sundays, a festive after-school club, and sensory classes for the very first time this year. To mark the launch of the project this week, and as part of a special Eurovision legacy, the Liverpool Empire Creative Learning team will deliver a Christmas-themed workshop to 30 Year 3 pupils at Ranworth Square Primary School in Norris Green.
Over the coming months, the Empire team and professionals from the theatre industry will work closely with schoolchildren of all ages from 20 schools across Liverpool, Wirral, Knowsley, St Helens, Warrington, Halton and Sefton, alongside the Liverpool Empire Youth Theatre Academy, to create a number of performances created exclusively for Liverpool ONE Christmas Live!Don't miss the biggest and breaking stories by signing up to the Echo Daily newsletter...
