Dundee manager Tony Docherty has addressed the possibility of Liverpool recalling Owen Beck after Andy Robertson dislocated his shoulder
Dundee aren’t worried about the possibility of Liverpool recalling Owen Beck from his loan stint with the Scottish club despite Andy Robertson’s recent shoulder injury.
“Thank god it is not only Kostas we have for that, because for the amount of games we have, we would already be a bit short,” the German said. “We have Joe Gomez who can play the position. And while both temporary moves were ultimately cut short after the defender didn’t feature as much hoped, he has bounced back in impressive form since joining Dundee on loan in the summer. "You keep an eye on all developments. That’s the way it works with loan players,” Docherty said. "You give them a platform to do well for themselves but also for Dundee Football Club.
"I think he enjoys playing here – the football side of it and the camaraderie in the dressing-room as well. We’ll just keep his feet on the ground and he’ll, hopefully, keep performing the way he’s performing. That level of consistency will attract attention."
