Live Nicola Bulley updates as police reveal her 'significant alcohol issues' and menopause struggles
at the time of going missing and was therefore classed as a "high risk" missing person. Her problems with alcohol had been in the past but police said they had resurfaced in the past few months.
A statement from the force said: "Nicola had in the past suffered with some significant issues with alcohol which were brought on by her ongoing struggles with the menopause and that these struggles had resurfaced over recent months."They added that this caused some "real challenges for Paul [Ansell] and the family". Police had attended Ms Bulley's home on January 10, 2023 - 17 days before she went missing.
Police said this incident is still being investigated but added that no one has been arrested in relation to it. Tuesday's conference was led by Assistant Chief Constable Peter Lawson and Senior Investigating Officer Detective Superintendent Rebecca Smith.Read More
