Roads in the area have been closed by police
Emergency cervices are on the scene following an incident at a branch of Sainsbury's in Blackpool this afternoon .
The supermarket has been evacuated, and pictures from the area show queues of shoppers lining the pavement outside. Police and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance. Talbot Road, close to Blackpool North Station, has been closed and all traffic is currently held. The cause of the evacuation is currently unknown, and reports of a fire have been unconfirmed.
Members of the public are advised to avoid the area if possible. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, Sainsbury's and Lancashire Constabulary have all been contacted by LancsLive.Traffic report service Inrix has said: "Usual slow traffic on A584 Promenade between A583 Talbot Road and Chapel Street ."Shoppers or anyone who parked their car in the car park are being allowed to get in their vehicles and leave.
