The incident, thought to be a serious crash, occurred near Horsforth Train Station
Multiple emergency crews have rushed to a serious crash in Leeds, with traffic operating on a one way system while paramedics attend the scene.Train Station earlier today from about 1pm. West Yorkshire Police and West Yorkshire Ambulance Service have been in attendance with numerous vehicles at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions for a short period of time but has since been re-opened to one-way traffic. Leeds City Council issued a statement, via its Connecting Leeds Travel Info Twitter page.The statement said: "Station Road in Horsforth now open to traffic by Horsforth railway station and Troy Road with traffic operating one way at a time past this road traffic collision."
Public transport routes have been affected with First Bus routes disrupted. The bus operator said on social media: "Reports that the Railway Bridge is closed at Station Road, Horsforth, due to an incident. Traffic congestion is building in the area and we're experiencing disruption on service 50A due to this."
The particulars of the incident are not yet clear. West Yorkshire Police has been asked for a comment.Map of the scene with traffic disruption
