Rep. John Lewis joins growing list of Democrats calling for Trump's impeachment: 'We cannot delay... I truly believe the time to begin impeachment proceedings against this President has come.'
Those calls have grown louder following testimony from former special counsel Robert Mueller before Congress in July -- more than four dozen House Democrats have come out publicly in support of an impeachment inquiry since Mueller's appearance. That includes House Foreign Affairs Chairman Eliot Engel of New York and House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler.
Jim Himes of ConnecticutHimes, a senior member of the House Intelligence Committee, called for the start of an impeachment inquiry in June."During my career, I have learned that there are moments for calculation, prudence, compromise and the careful weighing of competing interests. And there are moments for clarity and conviction. This is such a moment," he said in a statement.
