creator Sam Levinson was a “sh**show" behind the scenes. Levinson took over production after Amy Seimetz left the project, andalleged that the show took a new “wildly, disgustingly off the rails” direction under Levinson — including disturbing scenes that are described as “torture porn."
Both Depp and Tesfaye have vehemently defended the production and said the on-set experience was positive. “For something that does, of course, explore darker themes and has some pretty heavy emotional moments to it and everything, the vibe on set was quite lighthearted,” Depp continued. “We're all really good friends and we all are similar people and really understand each other.”
She continued: “Whenever you knew that there was a bigger, emotional scene coming up, you felt like you were surrounded by people that you feel comfortable with, people that have your back, and you feel that in the show.”? Check these out:
