'I really do it just to make my family happy.' - LILUZIVERT Lil Uzi Vert opened up about making music for his family, his brief retirement & more in a new interview
Eternal Atakecaught up with the eclectic Uzi to see where he was at with releasing his next project, and the creative process that leads to the epic fit pics that have taken social media's style section by storm.
“I like making music, and I like making people happy,” he said. "But the music is whatever, bro. I really do it just to make my family happy. Like, it's just something for my family to talk about." When asked about his abrupt retirement from rap, the Philly native explains it was just a visceral reaction to something he was feeling at the time. "I dunno, just how I felt," Uzi divulges. "That's all. I just wanted to be more normal.”
As far as what inspired the aesthetically pleasing outfits flooding his Instagram, it's something he planned to do in the past, but he just didn't have the closet to execute at the time. "I always wanted to do that, but I just didn't have a lot of clothes before,” he clarified. "It was like when you come to the last level and you open the door and it's, like, a whole new world -- not even a new level but a whole new world. You're like, ‘Wait a minute.
