Activating the cruiser’s emergency lights was enough for another motorist to pull over, but the erratic driver continued without hitting the brakes until the police car’s siren came on. The driver, identified as a South Euclid woman, 46, then ran off the edge of the road into a small ditch, but was able to get back out.
She also told police she had a weapon in her purse on the center console, with officers noting the handgun was loaded. At the Solon jail, she registered a .214 blood-alcohol content reading on the Breathalyzer, more than double the legal limit.
