Both lines of wines are produced in the LaMancha region of Spain by two different producers that are cooperatives of family-owned organic wineries. “I kind of equate it to what the wine cooler business did for varietal wines about 30 years ago,” he continued, noting that the industry a few decades ago was dominated by varietal table wines such as Chablis, Burgundy, Rhine and Chenin Blanc. “People started drinking berry white coolers from Bartles and James, which then spawned the launch of categories like white Zinfandel and white Grenache.
