In Thursday's episode of “Watch What Happens Live!” with host Andy Cohen, Liam Neeson was asked whether he would reprise his role of Jedi master Qui-Gon Jinn in a Star Wars spinoff and the legendary actor bluntly responded that too many Star Wars spinoff series were “diluting” the franchise.
“No, I’m not. There’s so many spinoffs of Star Wars. It’s diluting it, to me, and it’s taken away the mystery and the magic, in a weird way,” the actor said.Neeson starred in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and recently had a brief cameo in the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi with Ewan McGregor.
In another interview last year, Neeson said he would only reprise his Star Wars role if it were in a movie, not television. Cohen responded to Neeson's honest opinion about Disney's Star Wars spinoffs,"Liam, I love how outspoken you are. You really don't give a f***... in terms of sharing your opinions. You are open and honest."
