Latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as Reds confirm departure of midfielder Lewis O'Brien
The 24-year-old will spend the rest of the season on loan at the Riverside Stadium. The Reds said: “We wish Lewis all the best during his time at Middlesbrough.”
O’Brien joined Forest from Huddersfield Town 12 months ago. However, he fell down the pecking order last term and joined DC United on loan after a January deadline day switch to Blackburn Rovers fell through. O’Brien is unlikely to be the only departure from the City Ground before the transfer window closes at 11pm on Friday. Incomings and outgoings are expected. Steve Cooper’s side have made five new additions so far, in Matt Turner, Ola Aina, Anthony Elanga, Gonzalo Montiel and Andrey Santos. They are close to bringing in defender Murillo and full-back Nuno Tavares.
