Lewis Hamilton would be open to becoming Fernando Alonso’s team-mate again as the Spaniard hopes will happen, but Hamilton does not think it will.
It was far from a happy union though, Alonso exiting the team at the end of that season, with the rivalry between the pair, albeit growing less volatile as the years have passed, still existing to this day.
Hamilton would be happy to do that as well, but the issue is he cannot foresee a way that this will come to pass. This has fuelled some speculation that Hamilton is still unconvinced whether Mercedes can put him back into the title conversation which he has been absent from since 2021, having previously stated that the record eighth World title is that ultimate goal he is chasing.
