Lewis Hamilton's Italian Grand Prix went from bad to worse when he was penalised for making contact with Oscar Piastri.
The pair were fighting for eighth place in Monza with 10 laps to go when things got too close at turn four.Credit: Sky F1Hamilton positioned his Mercedes on the outside of Piastri's McLaren heading into the chicane.Both drivers somehow avoided a huge shunt, with Hamilton springing across the front of Piastri, before straightening up in front of him.
The pair then went straight on at the corner, with the younger Australian sustaining front wing damage that forced him to pit.
