Readers appreciate Lyda Hill’s nomination as Texas of the Year; give recognition to a few Dallas Symphony musicians; and enjoyed a column by Virginia Hammerle.
It warmed my heart to read about Lyda Hill’s deserving Texan of the Year nomination. At least two things struck me as unique about her. Secondly, her approach to trying to knock down the many silos nonprofits ultimately find themselves in because of the myriad of reasons they form. Often, again, due to passion through loss of life or hope for a better world. Veteran causes are a great example. Some of these nonprofits are working together. Hoping those will apply to the Better Together fund.
