Could it be no opportunity for a decent life? Fear of drug cartels or corrupt governments? Starvation? If any or all of those are true, all the walls in the world won’t stop the flood. Why not work to provide more opportunities to support a better life in those home countries? Mask mandates or not, people who commit any type of violent act on an airplane should be placed on a no-fly list. This will let them know that there are consequences for violent acts on a plane and hopefully persuade them not to feel justified in endangering their fellow passengers and flight crew.Re: “Treat USPS as utility,” by Jeri Chilcutt, Monday Letters.
