Readers continue to express anger with Gov. Greg Abbott’s leadership and his refusal to effectively respond to gun violence.Thank you, Gov. Greg Abbott, for all but guaranteeing that mass shootings will continue by blaming “mental health.”
Then, there’s the people bent on committing suicide and think, “Hey, instead of an anonymous passing, why not take along a few others on a headline-grabbing death ride?” Gov. Greg Abbott loves blaming gun violence on mental health problems. The mental health problems are no doubt escalating by the day, post-traumatic stress from hearing about shootings, anxiety from worrying about getting shot during school, church, mall, movie outing or depression from not seeing people valued over guns.
