Our country and Constitution are in serious jeopardy right now, all because of a twice-impeached, twice-indicted, disgraced former president.Judy RectorNo one can look at Wells Fargo and think it acted appropriately. The Justice Department, Consumer Fraud Protection Agency and Securities Exchange Commission each leveled penalties on Wells Fargo. Conversely, Wells Fargo has taken great strides to reset its corporate culture and made restitution for wrongdoing.
Holding businesses accountable is the job of the Justice Department, SEC and CFPA, and it seems they are doing a credible job of holding Wells Fargo to task. I’m not so sure banking regulation is the job of the San Antonio City Council. If council members want to be federal regulators, they need to resign and apply to the appropriate agency.
