Data from the National Center for Education Statistics and the U.S. Department of Education show the number of district administrators in U.S. public schools has grown 87.6 percent between 2000 and 2019 in comparison to student growth at 7.6 percent and teacher growth at 8.7 percent.Gov. Greg Abbott’s school voucher plan is a thinly disguised move to line the pockets of the well-off by taking away money from those of lesser means.
There is no doubt that Gov. Greg Abbott’s top priority is to fund private schools by taking taxpayer money destined for traditional public schools and giving it to charter and private schools.
