Former Destiny's Child LeToya Luckett talks love, family and her first holiday movie
Luckett, 41, plays a vegan dessert food-truck owner who competes on a TV baking reality show against a former flame. The prize money would help the struggling single mom pay for her daughter's school tuition.
One the film's second day of production, Luckett said she learned one of her good friends, celebrity makeup artist and entrepreneur AJ Crimson, died unexpectedly at age 27. Her mother later came to offer comfort and even appears in one scene of the movie, which was filmed in Canada. She recently wrapped up filming STARZ's series,"Power Book III: Raising Kanan," and is gearing up for the second season of her hit YouTube series,"Leave it to LeToya."
