Let’s be with each other even if we don’t agree with each other | Opinion

Back now, sitting in pews and study classes with my fellow attendees, I realize just how much I’ve been missing, and it has left me wondering whether returning to in-person worship and other congregational activities might be a partial answer to something we need as a nation.that America is more polarized than it has been at any time since the Civil War.
It is when I’ve been thrown together with other people of faith in these kind of gloriously messy moments that I’ve become more knowledgeable and compassionate about the reasons some people of God believe in gun rights and others believe in gun control; why some people of God believe in the death penalty and in abortion and others don’t; how God is an influencer both in those who vote Republican and those who vote Democrat.
