The city council aims to make the historic streets more suitable for pedestrians and cyclists.
The streets were pedestrianised during the coronavirus pandemic to create outdoor seating areas and more space for shoppersWork to revamp three streets in a historic part of Leicester's city centre is due to begin.
The council said it was bringing the streets up to the same standard as nearby areas that link to the cathedral and the King Richard III Visitor Centre.
