This comes after Harewood Bridge was closed for three weeks during the summer holidays
A Leeds bridge which was closed for a month for maintenance work is going to be closed yet again, for a third time, with a 20 mile diversion route enforced once more.
Maintenance work had previosuly taken place over the school summer holidays, over three weeks from July 26 and August 18, ahead of schedule, finishing a week early.The council was carrying out waterproofing, resurfacing and footpath repair works. This came after a previous closure where temporary repair patches were installed to extend the longevity of the carriageway.
Councillor Matthew Robinson issued the following statement, it said: "You will recall that essential maintenance works were completed on the Harewood Bridge over the summer holidays.
