“National Hunting and Fishing Day is a celebration of our countries rich natural resources and a thank you to the hunters, trappers and anglers who helped conserve the many public lands we have access to today. It’s an opportunity for all members of the public, whether you hunt or fish or prefer other recreational opportunities to celebrate the rich heritage in the state of enjoying the outdoors,” said Lauren Ferreri, Middle Creek Visitors Center manager.
The Game Commission said there will be simulated and live fire archery shooting stations along with a catch-and-release, learn-to-fish station for kids with theStaff will be available to answer questions and give presentations.Organizations attending include Delta Waterfowl, Ducks Unlimited, Ruffed Grouse Society, Pheasants Forever, Pennsylvania Trappers Association, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and Back Country Hunters and Anglers and several local sportsmen’s clubs.
