A League of Legends player successfully hosted a marathon stream during which they climbed from unranked to Master tier in a single sitting. League of Legends is one of the most-played video games in the world and it is well-known for having a highly competitive and often toxic player base.
Due to this competitiveness in their fanbase, League of Legends streamers often set challenges for themselves to prove their prowess. Unranked to Challenger streams are one of the most popular of these, with streamers often creating new accounts with which to start the challenge fresh. These streams are often done in an episodic fashion, across several sessions, however, some of the most skilled and determined grinders will make the run all at once.
Grinding 60 consecutive hours of any game, especially a relatively high-stress game such as League of Legends, is a less than wise decision for anyone's physical and mental well-being. Despite the very impressive success Nicklink managed to pull off in his marathon, playing LoL for 60 hours straight should not be considered a viable strategy for climbing the ladder. For mortals, at the very least, it is better advised to take breaks after losing a few games in a row.
