A bridge will link the three buildings at first-floor level
The last part of Aston Martin's new £200m Silverstone factory has been approved. A building on the site will be demolished to make way for the third and final part of a revamp of the company's complex.
Aston Martin said the building was no longer fit for purpose and “does not reflect the ambition and innovation of the team”. West Northamptonshire Council's South Northamptonshire planning committee agreed and approved the application on Thursday. Designers said the new building will be the "vibrant, social heart" of the site. A wind tunnel and headquarters will sit on either side of it. Those two have already been given planning permission.
The new building will be used to monitor the team’s performance and staff members’ physical and mental health. .READ NEXT:
