Lancs police appeal to find girls who have gone missing for the second time this week
Police have issued an appeal to find two teenage girls who have gone missing twice in the space of a week.
On Sunday Lancashire Constabulary issued an appeal after 14-year-old Danika Kirkbride and Summer Loats, 13, went missing from Rakehead Recreational Ground in Burnley. The girls appear to have been located but have now been reported missing again. In an appeal, Preston Police today said: "Have you seen Danika Kirkbride and Summer Loats who are both missing from Burnley? Danika , 14, and Summer, 13, were last seen in Briercliffe at 3pm yesterday and are believed to be together."We have carried out numerous enquiries to find them and we are now asking for your help. Summer is approximately 5ft, with straight long blonde shoulder-length hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing cream shorts, trainers and a brown crop top.
"Danika is approximately 5ft, with shoulder length black hair and has a fair complexion. She was last seen wearing cream bicycle shorts, white Nike trainers, and a black crop top. She was carrying a blue Berghaus zip up jumper." Both girls have links to Burnley, Preston and Blackburn. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or 999 for immediate sightings.
