Shae Kennedy started his journey at the Dance School of Scotland this month as the only boy in his S1 class.
Lanarkshire’s own version of Billy Elliot is dancing to the top as he begins his journey at the Dance School of Scotland - the only boy in his class.

She said: “He was the only boy amongst 70 female dancers in his dance show at Motherwell Civic Theatre. Two people who worked there told us about the Dance School of Scotland and recommended that he audition. “He is a nervous wee boy and he was nearly crying saying, ‘I can’t do this mum’. However, they saw the potential in him and he came out with the biggest grin on his face.”
