Abby Maxwell's worrying discovery prompted her to get an ultrasound at University Hospital Hairmyres, where she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in January.
A young student who did not believe she could 'get cancer' due to her age was in floods of tears after her diagnosis.

The South Lanarkshire college student completed her studies in June - a week before her final chemotherapy session. "It’s weird to go from not doing anything to going back to normal life. I’m excited to get back out into the real world after a difficult year."
