A pensioner has died after being hit by a lorry in Lanarkshire this afternoon. The 83-year-old man was involved in a fatal crash which took place just before 3pm on Monday July 3.
Emergency services raced to High Street, Lanark, following reports of a crash involving a lorry and a pedestrian. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.The area was cordoned off while emergency services were at the scene earlier today. The road has partially re-opened with some diversions still in place.A police spokesperson said: "Around 2.50pm on Monday, 3 July, officers received a report of a crash involving a lorry and pedestrian on High Street, Lanark.
