Former Los Angeles Laker and five-time NBA champion Derek Fisher covered the Lakers' 108-97 preseason loss against the Milwaukee Bucks for Spectrum SportsNet Monday.Fisher gives a number of examples regarding AD's impact in this game on both sides of the ball.
Specifically, D-FIsh isolated a play in which AD brought the ball up, demonstrating his offensive versatility, and bringing music to the ears of Lakers fans who've wanted AD to go back to the role similar to what he played in the bubble or in New Orleans, where he was given free reign of the LA offense.
Defensively, there isn't much analysis that needs to be done here. AD is arguably the league's top defender and understands how to impact the game at every level on that side of the ball. Fisher highlighted a few different scenarios where Davis demonstrated his versatility, unfair quickness for someone at 6'10" and 250 pounds, and instincts that enable him to block shots and make incredible plays on repeat.
If AD is healthy and producing at a level anywhere close to what he did in the bubble, expect great things from the Lakeshow this season.
