In Lake Placid, a massive compound with a custom-built treehouse and an underground tunnel is asking $31.15 million, making it the area's priciest new listing
Libertina BrandtIn Lake Placid, N.Y., a roughly 46-acre compound with a treehouse and an underground tunnel is coming on the market for $31.15 million.
The property is located in the Adirondack Mountains about 70 miles from the Canadian border, according to Margie Philo of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Adirondack Premier Properties, who shares the listing with colleague Justin McGiver. The compound will be the most expensive home listing in Lake Placid, she said, and if it fetches its asking price it will be the area’s priciest home sale. The current record is held by a ranch that sold for $13 million in 2005, she said.
